Oral Airways

oral-airways-banner.jpg

Oral airways, also known as oropharyngeal airways or simply OPA, are medical devices designed to maintain an open airway in patients who are unconscious or have a compromised ability to maintain their airway. These devices are inserted through the mouth and extend down into the oropharynx, which is the region of the throat located between the base of the tongue and the epiglottis.

Oral airways are commonly used in emergency situations or during medical procedures to prevent airway obstruction and ensure proper oxygenation. They are particularly useful when the patient's mouth cannot be used for airway management, such as in cases of facial trauma or when the patient is unconscious. The use of oral airways helps to prevent airway obstruction and allows for the delivery of supplemental oxygen or the administration of medications, if necessary.

There is many different types of oral airways like Berman, Guedel, Supraglottic, Laryngeal and more. We offer a variety of options at Live Action Safety. Shop today and save big on all oral airway options!
